INDIANAPOLIS — A person was arrested after both Indiana University and Purdue University issued public safety alerts for their Indianapolis campuses Saturday morning.
Purdue University was the first to issue an alert. In a post on X around 3:49 a.m., Purdue indicated that a “dangerous situation” was occurring near the Sports Complex and Riverwalk parking garages on IU Indy’s campus. In the alert, Purdue encouraged Hoosiers to avoid the area and call 911 if they have any information on the incident.
IU police issued a similar alert around 4:09 a.m. Both universities indicated that there was no longer a threat to the area around 4:22 a.m…
