A Summerfield man was arrested for battery after allegedly yelling at a woman and grabbing her by the jaw.
Deputies responded to a physical disturbance at 73-year-old Charles Demino’s residence in Summerfield around 1:30 a.m. Friday, according to an arrest report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
The female victim stated she was in her bedroom getting ready to sleep when she heard Demino get up to use the bathroom. The bathroom he used was across the hall from her bedroom. He then opened her bedroom door, yelled at her and called her names, the report said.
She told him to leave her alone, but he continued calling her names. So, she got up to close the door. Demino proceeded to slap the left side of her face and spat at her, the report said…
