Washtenaw County residents will have an opportunity to visit two working farms and explore protected natural areas during the Washtenaw Conserved Farm Tour on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The free, registration-required event will visit neighboring farms in Sylvan and Sharon townships while highlighting how farmland conservation helps protect agricultural heritage, wildlife habitat, water quality and rural landscapes.
The tour begins at Doll Farm in Sylvan Township from 9 to 10:30 a.m., where participants will learn about the farm’s poultry operation and tour its facilities.
