“Let’s Roll”: Fresno ceremony remembers Todd Beamer, 9/11 Heroes

Communities across Central California gathered Thursday to remember the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks and honor the heroism of those who responded during one of the deadliest days in American history.

What began as a regular Tuesday morning on Sept. 11, 2001, turned into the deadliest attack in America. Thousands of people died in the attacks, and communities across the country continue to mourn their loss while remembering their bravery.

Among those remembered was former Fresno State student Todd Beamer, whose final words, “let’s roll,” became a lasting symbol of courage. Beamer was honored during Teens That Care’s 7th annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at Todd Beamer Park in Northeast Fresno, which brought together people from throughout the community…
