POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A Polk County Fire Rescue ambulance was involved in a three-vehicle crash late Saturday morning in Poinciana, leaving four people injured.
The incident occurred at 11:26 a.m. at the intersection of Bayberry Street and Marigold Avenue. According to officials, the ambulance was actively responding to an emergency call with its emergency lights and sirens activated at the time of the collision.
Paramedics transported four individuals by ground to area hospitals for medical care. The injured include two Polk County Fire Rescue crew members who were inside the ambulance, as well as one occupant from each of the other two vehicles involved in the wreck.
