Why was the severe weather outlook elevated to ‘slight risk’?
SYRACUSE, N.Y. — We’re now seeing some active severe weather in parts of CNY.
Based on how much sun came out late this morning and midday, a few severe thunderstorm warnings already in WNY, today’s NEWEST computer model runs & the fact that Storm Prediction Center has ELEVATED our SEVERE WEATHER OUTLOOK to “SLIGHT risk” from last night and this morning’s “MARGINAL risk”, a few SEVERE TSTORM WARNINGS or even a TORNADO WARNING or two are possible in CNY anytime between now and near sunset this evening…
