Last Monday, Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian said that he expected to maintain a rotation at left guard between sophomore Dylan Sikorski and sixth-year Laurence Seymore.
At some point during the week or within the flow of Saturday’s 24-23 win over the Ohio State Buckeyes, Sarkisian and offensive line coach Kyle Flood changed their minds, sending Sikorski out for all 80 plays.
Of the five starting offensive linemen for the Longhorns, Sikorski graded out right in the middle at 63.4, according to Pro Football Focus, ahead of fifth-year center Connor Robertson and junior right guard Brandon Baker, seeing his effectiveness decrease in run blocking compared to the opener against the Bobcats, but grading out at a superlative 89.5 in pass blocking by not allowing any pressures…
