The Wichita City Council approved an $18.2 million budget for a proposed pedestrian overpass along the Redbud Trail at Rock Road, in addition to more than 3 miles of the trail itself and pedestrian crossings at Woodlawn, Webb and Greenwich.
Supporters framed the project as an investment in the community’s future, while renderings by a Portland-based artist show what the crossing could look like.
