GULF BREEZE, Fla. — A push is underway to bring a new surfing museum to the heart of Gulf Breeze, with organizers hoping it will celebrate the sport’s deep roots along the Gulf Coast.
The Gulf Breeze Area Historical Society held its first fundraiser for the future Gulf Coast Surfing Museum on Sunday afternoon at Seville Quarter in Pensacola. Attendees watched the award-winning films “Back to China Beach” and “Florida Surfing History of the Panhandle,” and had a chance to meet some of the people featured in the films.
