NORMAN, Okla. – Six University of Oklahoma students are suing the school’s Board of Regents, alleging the university failed to properly handle a bedbug infestation in a campus dormitory during the spring 2025 semester.
The lawsuit was filed May 21, 2026 in Cleveland County District Court on behalf of six students who lived on the same all-female dormitory hallway at the time.
According to the petition, bedbugs were first reported in two dorm rooms in early January 2025. The students allege the university treated only the initial rooms and did not take broader preventive measures.
