TANEY COUNTY, Mo. (KY3) – The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is warning of an increase in reported rabies exposures across the country, and health officials say it is a reminder to take precautions at home.
The warning comes as bats found in Greene County recently tested positive for rabies.
Rabies is a virus that attacks the nervous system, and once symptoms appear, it is almost always fatal.
