Buddy’s Chicken & Waffles has come full circle with a second location on South Tacoma Way — not far from where the original carry-out operation began.
Along with the Lincoln District location on G Street and the food truck, Buddy’s now has a growing presence throughout Tacoma. I’ve been following the business since the early pop-up days, and it’s been fun to see how far owner Buddy Brown has come. I stopped by one of those pop-ups, at Lakewood’s Rollies Tavern, for what would be my first time trying the sweet-and-savory combination I would come to love.
