On Sept. 11, Dion Khun Jr., rejected the prosection’s plea deal. After his rejection, Judge Melissa K. Copeland scheduled his trial to begin in December.
Khun, 36, is charged with 12 counts, including attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, firearm use in a felony violent crime, second-degree assault, firearm possession with a felony conviction, handgun on person and reckless endangerment.
In reception court, the prosecutor offered a plea deal of life suspending all but 35 years, five years of supervised probation, no contact with the victim, and the defendant must register as a gun offender.
