A clammer remains missing in Sandy Hook Bay as the search continued Monday evening, according to Atlantic Highlands Police. Authorities identified the missing man as a 64-year-old Pennsylvania resident. His boat was discovered around 10:45 a.m. Monday near the SeaStreak ferry terminal in Atlantic Highlands.
The vessel was found unoccupied and appeared to be a commercial clamming boat, prompting authorities to begin searching for the man.
