Prosecutors say man fled state after killing another; he says he left town to escape violence

Syracuse, N.Y. ― An attorney for a man who had an active warrant for months rejected prosecutors’ claims that he fled the state and denied he had any involvement in a fatal shooting.

Troy Boatwright, 22, was arrested in St. Paul, Minnesota in early August. Police announced he was wanted for murder in mid-June.
