LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A lawyer who used a cyberhacker’s documents in a federal lawsuit against international soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo has been disbarred in Nevada.
Attorney Mark Stovall was ordered disbarred by the Nevada Supreme Court, a document dated Sept. 9, 2026, shows. The documents in question came to be known as the “Football Leaks.” Information from the documents was published by the German magazine Der Spiegel, including items regarding an apparent admission to rape allegations made by Kathryn Mayorga in Las Vegas in 2009. Ronaldo paid Mayorga a reported $375,000 to keep the allegations private, according to reports in Der Spiegel, The Associated Press and ESPN.
