FAIRFIELD, Ala. (WIAT) — A person found human remains in the overgrown front yard of a vacant Fairfield house on Tuesday morning.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, the person who discovered the remains in the 300 block of 53rd Street lives nearby. An autopsy will be performed Wednesday to determine the cause of death for the unidentified person.
