Federal law enforcement agencies in Houston seized 63 pounds of tusi, a synthetic drug mixture also known as “pink cocaine,” valued at nearly $500,000.
The Drug Enforcement Administration’s Houston Field Division said in a post on X that authorities seized 63 pounds of the drug, valued at nearly $500,000. The operation was assisted by the Houston Police Department, Harris County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office and FBI Houston.

The seizure highlights a problem with the drug’s name: Despite being marketed as “pink cocaine,” tusi does not necessarily contain cocaine. DEA testing has found different combinations of drugs in different samples, making the substance difficult to identify without laboratory testing.
