Multiple SE Texas areas reporting water discoloration due to heavy rain from Tropical Storm Edouard

Several areas southeast of Houston are reporting water discoloration due to recent rain brought by Tropical Storm Edouard.

The storm made landfall earlier this month and brought heavy rain to our area.

Friendswood, Webster, Deer Park, and League City were among the communties affected and associated Edouard’s rainfall with reported discoloration in their water systems. Residents in these areas may notice the water appear yellow or green, but officials say the water remains safe to drink.
