Harvest some good old-fashioned fun on Saturday, September 19, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., during the annual free Fall on the Farm gathering at Riverview Farmstead Preserve in Naperville.
“Fall on the Farm invites visitors to experience Riverview Farmstead in a whole new way,” said Jen Guest, facility supervisor at the Forest Preserve District’s Isle a la Cache Museum. “Throughout the day, guests can watch traditional skills in action, including basket weaving, explore historic buildings and farm equipment, and take part in activities that offer a glimpse into everyday life on the farm generations ago.”
Activities include farmstead chores, butter churning, fall photo opportunities, a petting zoo, a bounce house and live bluegrass music by Rochambeau…
