SYRACUSE, NY — Communities across Central New York are marking a special 250th Independence Day with a packed week of fireworks, parades, concerts and family festivals. The schedule stretches from Tuesday through Sunday, giving residents plenty of chances to celebrate close to home.
Events are planned in towns and villages across the region, with many offering food trucks, live music, children’s activities and community gatherings before the evening fireworks. Some celebrations are tied to traditional July Fourth festivities, while others extend into the weekend with added concerts, picnics and neighborhood events.
Organizers in places such as Clay, Dewitt, Skaneateles, Auburn, Oswego and Syracuse are using parks, fairgrounds, stadiums and waterfronts to host the crowds. The result is a broad regional calendar that blends small-town traditions with larger public gatherings.
Early-week fireworks begin in Clay, Dewitt and Oswego County
The first wave of events starts Tuesday in Clay with a community celebration at Clay Park Central and the Great Northern Mall parking lot.
