If there’s one thing Emma H. ’27 and Maddie L. ’31 can agree upon, it’s that Notre Dame Preparatory School is a place rich in opportunity and community.
The Catholic, independent school for girls in grades 6–12 was founded on the conviction that education can transform lives, and in turn, the world. Established in 1873 by the School Sisters of Notre Dame, who continue to sponsor the school, NDP is steadfast in its commitment to combining strong academics, spiritual formation, and the practice of justice to offer girls countless opportunities for confidence building, leadership, and personal growth.
Co-founding “Prep Perspectives,” the school’s student-run podcast, is one such opportunity that Emma has fully embraced. She and her co-host sit down with NDP students, teachers, and administrators every month to discuss traditions, events, and issues important to the school. “Prep Perspectives” is just one way Emma, who also leads the Latin & Hispanic Student Union and is an Admissions Ambassador, contributes to the strong sense of community that defines Notre Dame Prep. “NDP is welcoming, with students and faculty who try to include others and create a supportive environment,” she says. “These qualities make the school feel both spirited and like a place where everyone can belong.”…
