The defendant convicted of shooting to death 58-year-old Martha Mendoza of Delhi a little more than three years ago has been sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.
In the Superior Court of Merced on Tuesday, Judge Brian McCabe sentenced Delhi resident Ricardo Garcia Jr., who had been convicted of second-degree murder, with an enhancement for using a gun.
