ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Genesee Co-op Federal Credit Union in Rochester is being impacted by an outage hitting a number of credit unions nationwide.
The core banking provider used by Genesee Co-op and other credit unions, Sharetec, experienced a significant infrastructure failure at the data center that hosts their systems. The issue was caused by equipment damage following a cooling system failure at the facility.
