Syracuse, N.Y. – Juan Castillo was a fifth grader in South Texas when his father drowned working as a fisherman.
His mother picked up work as a maid and bussing tables to support Castillo and his two sisters, setting an extraordinary example of the drive and sacrifice that helped shape Syracuse’s 66-year-old offensive line coach.
