Police in Kansas City were investigating a deadly shooting Wednesday night in the 3600 block of East Truman Road, after officers responded to reports of gunfire shortly after 8:20 p.m. The incident, still developing as of Wednesday night, remains under investigation.

The shooting happened on East Truman Road. Through September 16, Metro Patrol had recorded 27 homicides, East Patrol 24, Central Patrol 20, and South Patrol 13, according to the Kansas City Missouri Police Department.
