WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Officials with the Wichita School District were met with an all-but-unprecedented scenario on Wednesday.
The boil water advisory issued Wednesday morning left the district forced to quickly problem solve to make sure students and staff could stay hydrated.
“Yesterday was a really challenging day,” USD 259 director of logistics Fabian Armendariz said. “I’ve been with the district for 26 years, and we’ve never had a situation like this where news came so late (and) we’ve already had kids in the building — as well as we already had students on buses heading to school.”…
