A man who crashed into seven cars in west Wichita, struggled with officers and was Tasered on Wednesday will be arrested after he is released from the hospital, police said.
A 2015 Chrysler 300 westbound on 9th near Hoover struck seven parked vehicles, damaging the cars and several residences early Wednesday morning, Chief Public Information Officer Andrew Ford said. The vehicles, which were parked over a span of 200 to 300 yards, include a Honda Civic, a Jeep Liberty, two Chevrolet Silverados and Nathan Nichols’ black Hyundai Sonata, which was initially parked facing his garage but was pushed backward and into his neighbor’s garage as a result of the collision. The driver’s Chrysler also sustained significant damage from the crashes.
Nichols, who lives near 9th and Hoover, said his partner woke him up to a loud noise at 4:45 a.m. After checking that his front door was locked, he went back to bed. But about 10 minutes later, neighbors started pounding on his door, telling him to come outside immediately…
