Boston College bought Education First’s (EF) Boston campus for $40 million, according to documents from the Massachusetts Land Records released Tuesday.
The parcel, located at 200 Lake St., sits at just over 760,000 square feet, or nearly 18 acres, and is across from the University’s Brighton Campus. The property is among Boston’s largest and increases the size of BC’s total physical plant by roughly 4 percent.
“It is rare when parcels like the EF Boston Campus become available,” said University Spokesman Jack Dunn in a University release. “The facilities at 200 Lake Street will help the University meet its needs through the acquisition of 89,000 SF of existing educational campus facilities.”…
