(KRON) — A good Samaritan found an abandoned puppy during a heat wave in Pleasanton. In scorching heat, the puppy sought shade under a parked car in the Sterling Greens neighborhood “after being left behind,” the Pleasanton Police Department wrote.
“Thankfully, an observant resident noticed the puppy and contacted us before it was harmed. Our Animal Services Officer responded, ensured the puppy received proper care, and followed up on the circumstances surrounding the abandonment,” the police department wrote.
