I went in for a bag of limes and came out three hours later, full, holding a receipt I would rather not explain. Somewhere in Southwest Florida sits a grocery store roughly the size of a small airport terminal, where the produce aisles end at a fish case and a kitchen that will cook whatever you hand across it.
It is the only shopping trip I have ever taken that called for a nap afterward. Come hungry and budget more time than errands usually deserve.
A Barn-Red Landmark on Immokalee Road
Drive east along Immokalee Road in North Naples and the strip plazas start thinning out, which somehow makes the building ahead look even larger than it is. From the lot it reads as a warehouse wearing a barn-red farmhouse face, and nothing outside warns you that lunch is waiting.
A covered entry leads straight into color: crates, bins, hanging signs, and the hum of a place doing several jobs at once. Seed to Table spans somewhere between 75,000 and 80,000 square feet, and the floor plan owes more to a covered farmers market than to a supermarket grid…
