Concerns shared by local businesses after Palafox weekend flooding

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — Recent flooding on Palafox Street in Downtown Pensacola has some raised concerns for some business owners after nearly two inches of rain fell in 30 minutes.

“We’ve never had water come into our store, but north of us, that’s definitely concerning,” Owner of Indigo Denim Bar and Boutique Katie Bosso said. “I just hope that property owners and the city of Pensacola are reevaluating.”

Bosso owns a business along Palafox Street and saw videos of the flooding on Saturday. Pensacola city officials said there was standing water for 13 minutes between Garden and Romana Streets.
