For the second time in less than two months, the Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) has intervened in an agreement between Sacramento City Unified and its teachers union.
The latest agreement would extend use of the district’s retiree health fund to cover an estimated $23.6 million in retiree health costs for 2028-29, while extending the union’s collective bargaining agreement through June 30, 2030.
