Amid a sea of cowboy hats, bidder yardsticks and trays of champagne and skewers, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on Thursday revealed new renderings of its new 1 million-square-foot arena and agricultural complex, “The Farm,” which is slated to open for the 2029 rodeo.
The rodeo first announced in June its plans to construct the $300 million arena and agricultural complex a few miles south of Reliant Park. The naming of The Farm came after a months-long process with volunteers brainstorming ideas that the public then voted on.
