Welcome to your new workspace. There’s no dress code and the coffee and Wi-Fi are free. The restroom might leave a little to be desired, but hey, what did you expect from an Allston dive bar?
This week O’Brien’s Pub announced “the day shift,” a new set of office hours, if you will, that allows artists and other folks in creative industries to gather and collaborate. This “free workspace for Boston’s creative community,” as the pub’s announcement described it, will be available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Come evening, O’Brien’s will resume its role as a hub for nightly live music. The program launches on Tuesday (September 22).
“Boston needs more places where creative people can work, meet and make things,” the Insta announcement reads. “The talent is everywhere. Free, welcoming places to actually sit down and do the work are much harder to find.”…
