WHITFIELD COUNTY, Ga. — A $6 million federal investment aimed at cleaning up and redeveloping polluted or blighted properties is headed to Northwest Georgia, with funding split among local governments in Chickamauga, Dalton, and beyond.
On Friday, Congressman Clay Fuller joined the Environmental Protection Agency and local community leaders to announce the brownfields funding, which is intended to support the revitalization of previously contaminated sites and spur economic development across the region.
