Man Fails to Flirt With Woman at McDonald’s, Then Threatens to Shoot Her Boyfriend

A failed attempt at flirting quickly escalated to a threat. A woman and her boyfriend were trying to order food at a McDonald’s in Florida when they were interrupted by a customer. The man tried to flirt with the woman and make her boyfriend angry, but when that didn’t work, he said that she was going to die and that he would shoot her boyfriend.

Man asks woman to come with him to the bathroom

On September 12 at approximately 10 p.m., officers responded to a report of a man, later identified as 29-year-old Jerimiah Williams, who had threatened a couple at a McDonald’s in Oakland Park, according to Local10 and Law & Crime.

According to the arrest affidavit, the couple said they were ordering at a kiosk at around 8 p.m. and noticed Williams sitting a table by himself. The woman told officers that Williams had been looking at her in the restaurant and “believed that he was trying to flirt” with her. She said that the 29-year-old had also tried to “cause a rise” out of her boyfriend.

The couple attempted to ignore the man, but that only made him try a more aggressive tactic. Williams allegedly got up from the table and gestured toward the woman to follow him to the bathroom. When she refused, he went up to the couple and brushed up against her and said, “You’re going to die and I’m going to shoot your boyfriend.”…
