The Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department has issued a toxic algae caution advisory for Steilacoom Lake.
According to a news release from TPCHD, the advisory went into effect on Thursday, Sept. 17. The City of Lakewood sampled the lake on Sept. 10 and got the results back on Sept. 16.
“Once the bloom is gone, we will leave the advisory in place for two weeks out of an abundance of caution,” the release said…
