Long-abandoned South Side home transforms into center housing law enforcement, community resources

A long-abandoned house at 120th Street and Indiana Avenue is getting new life as Chicago’s first Cop House, a community-based initiative designed to foster public safety by addressing some of the issues that can lead to violence.

The official opening was held in West Pullman, where a renovated home will serve young people in the Roseland and Pullman communities.
