Savion Hiter was one of the most anticipated players for Michigan this season, coming in as a five-star running back out of the Class of 2026. Well, it took a few games, but the young freshman finally found the end zone for the Wolverines against UTEP, and he didn’t do it just once, but twice!
It makes sense that Hiter needed some time to get used to the pace of college football; it is definitely different from high school, especially at the power conference level. Each game, hiter has seen his usage grow in this Michigan offense, and with starting running back Jordan Marshall dealing with a few minor aches and pains, it was the perfect time to put the run game in the freshman’s hands.
After getting behind 7-0 to the Miners, Michigan drove down the field, and on second and goal in the second quarter, Hiter bullied his way into the end zone for the first score of his career…
