18-Year-Old Driver Faces Mecklenburg Extradition After High-Speed Chase Into South Carolina Following Alleged Armed Robbery in Charlotte

SPARTANBURG, SC — An 18-year-old is awaiting extradition to Mecklenburg County after police say he was involved in an alleged violent crime and a high-speed chase that crossed state lines.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police identified the suspect as Zyvarius Webber. Authorities say officers in Spartanburg, South Carolina, took him into custody after the pursuit ended with a crash in Spartanburg County.

Police said the chase began after the alleged crime in the Charlotte area and continued south on Interstate 85 before ending across the state line. Webber now faces multiple charges tied to both the reported robbery and the flight from officers.
