Missouri soccer loses its SEC home opener to Kentucky, 2-1, on Friday night. The Tigers lost their second straight game to open SEC conference play, giving them a 3-5-1 record.
Both teams had a slow start, as neither the Tigers nor the Wildcats could build a solid attacking opportunity. Neither team registered a shot through the first 10 minutes. In the 11th minute, the Wildcats broke through the Tigers’ defense when senior forward Nadia Ramadan hammered home a looping set-piece cross.
