SANFORD, Fla. – At least six people were wounded after a gathering ended in a shooting Saturday night in Sanford, police said.
Officers responded just before 10 p.m. to the area of Poplar Avenue and West 10th Street. Investigators say a group was in the street for what they describe as a “social gathering” when at least one person started shooting. Police arrived within minutes and secured the scene.
Two victims were critically injured. The other victims were described by a police spokesperson as “fairly OK,” though police cautioned that the number of victims could increase as the investigation continues…
