DETROIT, Mich. (WLNS) — Tisha Campbell has spent decades making audiences laugh on screen. Now, the actress and author is sharing a more personal side of her life: raising her son with autism.
Campbell told that story in her new book, “The A Word: A Mother’s Journey Through Autism,” opening up about motherhood, caregiving and the lessons she has learned along the way.
During a book signing in Detroit, Campbell told 6 News she is in a much different place today than she was when she first began her journey as a mother.
“There’s an ease that I have now,” Campbell said. “I feel more comfortable where my kids are, both my kids. And that’s because I’m allowing myself some grace.”…
