Stay weather aware on Monday. Scattered storms are expected in the afternoon and evening. Damaging winds will be possible with some of the strongest storms.
- Tonight: Mild and humid with a stray shower/storm (20%). Low: 71°.
- Monday (AWARE): Hot and humid with scattered storms. A couple of storms could become severe and produce strong wind gusts. High: 92° (Heat Index: ~100°).
- Monday night: Rain and storm chances continue (40%), Low: 68°.
- Tuesday: Widespread rain and storms (70%). Local flooding is possible. High: 86°.
Tonight, will be muggy and very mild with lows only falling near 70° once again. There could be a random shower at just about any point through the night, but most do look to stay dry. Areas of patchy fog are possible heading into Monday morning, especially in areas that saw rain on Sunday.
Highs on Monday will still be near 90°, but a weak front slides in from the west, so we will see some rain/storm chances later in the day/evening (some locally heavy) for the region. A few of the storms later in the afternoon/evening could also produce some gusty to damaging winds with the potential for isolated areas of damage, so we will be WEATHER AWARE for that threat. Still not everyone sees rain on Monday, but chances will continue to increase, leading up to a soggier Tuesday and Wednesday.
It does look like the cold front will slow down, which means we will stay mild and humid, but it will also mean additional rain/storm chances for Tuesday and Wednesday. Some of the rain could be locally heavy due to moisture levels forecast to be around one and a half times higher than average, and it would also mean some “less hot” temperatures. We don’t anticipate severe weather for Tuesday and Wednesday, but there may be a few instances of ponding/flooding on roadways and low-lying spots…
