The Olney community is mourning the loss of longtime resident George J. Mantzouranis, who passed away on September 9 at the age of 60.
Mantzouranis was a lifelong member of the Olney community and a familiar face to many through his remarkable 45 years working for Giant Food. The Giant location in Olney has also shared a notice of his passing at the store.
According to his obituary, Mantzouranis was affectionately known by many as “The Mayor of Olney,” a nickname reflecting the connections he built throughout the community over the years…
