Indianapolis-based Damar Services, which provides residential services for people with developmental disabilities, has agreed to pay $65,000 and provide other relief through a settlement agreement with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
EEOC sued Damar in March, alleging that the company had established hiring standards that screened out applicants with hearing and vision disabilities, made prohibited disability-related inquiries and in 2023 rejected a qualified housekeeper applicant because he was deaf.
