Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library administration intends to make cuts to employee benefits and public databases to afford needed building repairs.
The reduction in benefits, the elimination of at least one database and two fewer employees are included in the 2027 proposed budget. The employees are not being laid-off, but the positions will not be filled when the individuals leave, according to Executive Director Kristin Shelley.
“It means less programs, it means less personal service,” Shelley said. “I truly believe we’re going to have to do less with less.”…
