CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Cleveland Division of Animal Care & Control is asking for the public’s help Sunday to identify a man connected to an incident in which a dog was abandoned in a crate.
The division shared on social media that the man pictured came to their kennel Aug. 6 trying to turn in a dog he claimed was “his uncle’s.”
The kennel told him that his uncle would need to officially sign the dog over, according to the division.
The man reportedly left the kennel, but within an hour, a worker down the street called to say that a dog had been dumped in a crate and the person had taken off.
The dog was the same one the man attempted to turn in for his “uncle,” according to the division…
