WELLS CO., Ind. (WANE) — As Wabash River waters continue to recede, Bluffton’s mayor is asking people to document this flooding episode.
WANE 15 returned to Bluffton on Sunday evening to find Market Street and River Road, which lay beside the Wabash River, still underwater. Multiple roadways near the river were closed for high water. Apart from the areas closest to the river, most Bluffton neighborhoods are much drier than they were Thursday, when several streets, intersections, and parks were submerged after more than five inches of rain came down within 24 hours.
As of the last check, the National Weather Service still considers the Wabash River at minor stage flooding at 12.62 feet, down from its peak at 15.57 feet Thursday evening…
